Minnesota Truck Headquarters is a Family-Owned and Operated Dealership Group, with Nearly 20 Years in the Auto Business!
The long, strange journey to Minnesota Truck Headquarters of Forest Lake starts in St. Cloud, Minnesota, in the year 2004. That’s when the Jordet family started up a new dealership focusing specifically on trailers. They didn’t know it at the time, but they were planting the seeds that would bloom into Minnesota’s largest truck and top pre-owned vehicle retailer.
At the start, the Jordets’ dealership only focused on trailers. From small cargo to haulers capable of moving four cars at once — if it was a trailer, you could find it there. But the trajectory changed on a fateful summer day when a customer came in looking to unload a pristine 1989 Honda CRX.
To that point, the Jordets hadn’t purchased or sold anything but trailers. But they loved cars and trucks, and they thought, hey, why not? They had nothing to lose and everything to gain. So they accepted that Honda CRX as a trade-in toward a new trailer, wrote a price on the window in shoe marker, and they sold it the same exact day.
And from this came the idea: Why not just do this regularly? That idea led to the creation of St. Cloud Auto Sales. Serving South St. Cloud, the dealership housed 15 used vehicles all priced below $3,000. Things were moving at a fast pace, and there was nowhere to go but up.

By 2006, St. Cloud Auto sales was moving 100 vehicles a month, offering up a wide selection of cars, trucks, and SUVs. Having come so far over the two years and having so much potential ahead of them, the Jordets decided that it was time to expand.
In 2012, the family opened a second dealership location in St. Joseph. They moved all cars, SUVs, and vans to that location, leaving just the trucks in St. Cloud. By focusing the original South St. Cloud location solely on truck sales, the Jordets began to zero in on the idea that would lead to the birth of Minnesota Truck Headquarters.
They also saw the need for the things that truck-owners need, like service and customization. In a great stroke of luck, a building by the original St. Cloud Auto Sales location went on the market and would soon become the Custom Trucks Shop. There, customers could upgrade their pickup trucks with high-quality accessories and custom paint jobs. The Custom Trucks Shop also specialized in things like suspension lift kits and larger wheels and tires, giving rise (literally and figuratively) to the mantra of loaded, lifted, and jacked.
